Chris' Ono Grinds Island Grill

Hawaiian food is something that we wanted to try while in San Diego with the amount of diverse food options that the city has. Chris’ Ono Grinds has multiple locations in the San Diego area, but we have only visited their restaurant that is located in the Liberty Public Market.

Our go-to is the Huli Huli Chicken plate and you get rice + macaroni salad with it. You can substitute for other options like double rice or extra mac salad as well. The chicken is cooked perfectly and the sauce that comes with it pairs so well.

We love this location because it is located in a food hall with so many options to choose from. After you eat your food you can walk around the market and check out dessert/drink options and do some shopping! There is a lot of free parking in the area so no need to worry about that!
